Methanol drag cars should have a front mounted fuel cell.
The engines use so much fuel that an electric pump or an engine mounted pump has a tuff time fighting the g-forces and delivering the huge volume of fuel required.
I have customers that have installed the Race Pump on mid 9 second methanol cars with rear mounted fuel cells with good results....but I don't recommend it. If your running mid 9's today...and everything is good....you may run low 9's next year and start having problems.
Go ahead and install a front cell with a Race Pump and never worry about your fuel system again.
