We bought what we thought was a Racepump from Speedway Motors, their part # 910-10731. They sold us a regulator made by Willys, #800-891. We found out that the pump is manufactured by someone else, supposedly licensed by Racepump. The pump has the silver end cap. Can we update it with the teflon o-rings if we bought them from Racepump? Is the pump body and or piston different from the current Racepump version? Can we make the speedway pump work with the Racepump regulator? Or are we wasting our time and money... ?

The pump Speedway sells is a Chinese manufactured version of our 2005 pump.

The current Race Pump design features Teflon sealing rings vs. O-rings, 450 GPH vs. 204 GPH , and a bronze piston guide with a static seal vs. an O-ring on the end of the piston that must guide the piston and seal.

The current design is a huge improvement....the Chinese pumps cannot be updated to our current design.

Willy's regulators will not work properly with the Chinese pump or our current pump. They are very nice units....they are just not designed to work with piston pumps.

Willy's originally sold the 2005 design Race Pumps along with their regulator....they had so much trouble with the combination that we mutually agreed to discontinue our business relationship.

I should clarify - Speedway just says their pump has the "same high dollar features", but to what they do not say. (I feel their is only one thing they can be comparing to). They did however tell us that the Willys regulator will work fine with their billet pump. We will try and send both their pump and regulator back for a refund and order both from you, we cannot thank you enough for explaining the situation in such a straight forward and clear manner before we went through nightmares...

Just ordered your Racepump, pushrod, and regulator. Hopefully will receive in time for next weekend races. Thanks for your help.
