Howard I'm running a BBC 496 with -8an line from the tank to the pump and then to the holley 12-704 regulator and then dual -8an lines to the 950 cfm quick fuel carb !!! Am I correct in assuming that to run this application on the street that I would need to run a return line to the tank, or I will be experiencing vapor lock ? If I need to purchase your regulator to do this I will to lesson the complications !!! The only reason I went from the regulator to the carb with-8an anyway is because I allready had the line !!! thanks for your help,  Mike

Mike,

Your combination will most likely vapor lock at some point. The idle bleed/return line that that circulates the hot fuel back to the tank can't be added to the Holley regulator.

The Race Pumps regulator with the idle bleed/return option requires a -4 line from the regulator back to the fuel tank. This prevents vapor lock due to high engine compartment temperatures.
