Can the Race Pump be made into a positive displacement pump by changing the spring set-up on the inside? If so, how much would it cost and would the pump need to be sent back for this adj.?

No, the spring is on the pressure side of the pump. This makes it impossible to convert the pump to "positve displacement". |
