| #1 | Howard, I've got a small issue/question. I've got a 5011 regulator and the little 1/8 barb fitting on the top is leaking fuel when running. I just noticed it and seems to be dumping fuel. Do I need to run a vaccum line off this to the intake manifold? Currently it is just sitting there with nothing attached. This is a return system with the idle bleed. I've circled in the image where the fuel is coming out.

| #2 | Mark,
Fuel leaking from the small 1/8" barbed fitting on the regulator indicates a leak in the diaphgram. The diaphgram is the same as used in a Holley regulator. They are available under "Service Parts" on our website.
If your regulator is less than one year old you can call or e-mail us for a free replacement.
This fitting should always have a hose on it. Most applications need just a short section positioned to keep dirt and water out. Some methanol circle track cars connect this port to the carburetor base plate to reduce fuel pressure at idle and off throttle.

yeah thats what a mechanic friend told me too. I used E-85 for a couple of days before switching to race gas due to carb issues. Possible the alchohol ate up the diaphram? This is pump/regulator I bought about a year ago but just used it (only has a couple of hours of operation on it). Haven't fiddled with anything on the FPR either. I'm going to Pinks All Out here this Thursday-Sat at Pacific Raceways in Seattle...so running into time issues. I'll see if I can locate the replacement part for the holly FPR at a local store and change it out if thats the quickest fix you suggest. |

| #4 | That will be your quickest bet. E-mail us your address and we will ship one out so you will have a spare.
The alcohol shouldn't bother the regulator. Sometimes the diaphgram lasts for years and sometimes just a few months.....the regulator being stored dry after it has had fuel in it is the biggest contributor to failure.
