| #1 | I can't get the 1/8" pipe plug out of the regulator. It's a new reg. that I got in today. I broke an Allen wrench trying to get the thing out to install the gauge. Should I try an impact? LOL! I made an adapter fitting to go on the idle bleed fitting so I could start it and set the fuel pressure with the gauge. Are the regulators pre-set @ 7 psi? Any thoughts on how to get it out? I don't want to round the inside of the pipe plug in fear I may never get it out. |

| #2 | This is the 3rd time on this....we obviously are installing the plug too tight.
Of course you can purchase a replacement regulator and ship the one you have back for a full refund, including shipping.
Or, you can do what the other two people did. Remove and disassemble the regulator (leave the ball and spring in place). Drill a hole through the center of the pipe plug that will leave the internal hex intact. The plug will thread out fairly easy them.
The regulator body is hard anodized billet and the plug is cad plated steel, so it's not a galling issue, just too tight. |
